A 24-year-old man of Egyptian descent was arrested in Crete after stealing the owner’s bag containing €10,000 from a hotel. The police quickly mobilized following the report, identified the suspect, and apprehended him in Platanias. The stolen bag and €2,605 in cash were recovered and returned to the owner. The investigation is ongoing by the Chania Crime Prevention and Investigation Division.
