31-Year-Old Man Sentenced for Espionage at Thessaloniki Airport
A 31-year-old man was convicted of espionage by a court in Thessaloniki for photographing the ‘Macedonia’ airport despite a prohibition sign. He received an 18-month prison sentence, which was commuted to a daily fine of €10, along with an additional monetary penalty of €1,000. The man, originally from Ukraine but holding Greek identification, was acquitted of entering a restricted area.
