32nd Annual Dickens Festival Brings Victorian Charm to Deventer
The 32nd edition of the Dickens Festival has begun in Deventer, bringing to life the works of Charles Dickens with 950 volunteers in period costumes. This year, 125,000 visitors are expected, and organizers have set a designated entrance due to anticipated long wait times. In addition to performances from Dickens’ characters, attendees will encounter themed entertainment and demonstrations. The festival has evolved to ensure accessibility for visitors with disabilities. While entry remains free this year, a fee may be implemented next year to cover growing costs.
