Reports indicate that soldiers returning from the conflict in Ukraine have been involved in at least 242 deaths and numerous assaults in Russia. Many of these soldiers, released from prison to join the military effort, are committing acts of violence against civilians, contributing to a growing societal issue. Sociologist Igor Eidman warns that traditional moral values are being undermined as violent offenders are celebrated as heroes upon their return.
