This year’s events to honor the Polytechnic uprising of November 1973 culminated in two massive marches and a speech at the packed Labor Center of Corfu. Organized by labor unions and local leftist parties, the ceremonies included wreath-laying and speeches emphasizing the ongoing significance of the uprising for democracy and freedom.
