Amsterdam is no longer classified as a safety risk area, as announced by Mayor Femke Halsema. This decision comes after the unrest following the Ajax vs. Maccabi Tel Aviv match, during which police had imposed measures to prevent violence. The municipality noted that subsequent demonstrations have been peaceful, and there is no need to extend the safety measures. However, the police continue to investigate 45 suspects linked to the disturbances, with nine currently held in custody.
