Collaboration Signed to Enhance Accessibility for Visually Impaired in Education and Science
The Center for Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and the National Observatory of Athens have signed a memorandum to boost participation of visually impaired individuals in education and science. The agreement includes developing educational programs with tactile and auditory experiments, creating Braille science books, and fostering innovative technologies for equitable access to scientific knowledge. Key attendees included Emmanuel Plionis, President of the Observatory, and Sofia-Lefki Hamonikolaou, Director of KEAT, emphasizing the importance of inclusivity in education and societal participation.
