Residents of Megalopolis are preparing for a major rally on November 20, 2024, focused on the future of the 4th lignite unit and local mines. Supported by the municipal authorities and local labor unions, the event aims to demand the continuation of operations amidst fears of unemployment and area desolation. The rally coincides with a nationwide workers’ strike, and participants from nearby Tripoli will also join the efforts.
