Formula 1 Adjusts Montreal Grand Prix Schedule for Climate Goals

Starting in 2026, the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Montreal will be moved to the end of May to limit travel after the European season begins. This adjustment is part of a broader strategy to create a more efficient racing calendar and improve CO2 emissions. The Monaco Grand Prix will subsequently take place on the first weekend of June. Formula 1 aims for climate neutrality by 2030, with recent modifications including rescheduling races to increase regional efficiency.
