Defendants Acquitted in Murder Case of Criminal in Zaandam
The Amsterdam court has acquitted two defendants in a 2015 murder case of Lucas Boom in Zaandam, citing insufficient evidence of their involvement. The prosecution had sought life sentences against one defendant and 16.5 years for the other. Although there were indications they might be connected to the crime, their proximity to the scene was deemed inadequate for a conviction. Both men remain incarcerated for other offenses.
