On November 19, 2023, French farmers escalated their protests by blocking trucks from Spain on the A9 highway. With the support of the Coordination Rurale, between 200 to 300 farmers gathered in front of the Agen prefecture, demanding stronger actions that include halting all freight supplying food to France. The protest saw extensive disruptions, with long lines of halted trucks and even dumping Spanish white wine onto the road. The farmers are prepared to maintain their stance as they refuse to relent until their demands are met.
