The State Department advised Americans in the capital to stay indoors and seek shelter when air alarms are sounded. This advisory follows Ukraine’s first use of U.S. ATACMS missiles against Russian territory, which Russia called an escalation. Previously, President Joe Biden was hesitant to allow Ukraine to use these missiles for attacks on Russia. The embassy has a history of closing during similar threats.
