He emphasized the need for a permanent support mechanism for consumers during crises and highlighted Greece’s challenges in energy connectivity, particularly due to limited interconnections with other countries. Despite these issues, Fourlaris noted Greece’s energy self-sufficiency and export capabilities, while critiquing the European Commission’s reluctance to revise the target model amidst geopolitical challenges.
