Moscow Morphakidis-Phylaktos Honored as Honorary Doctor by National and Kapodistrian University of Athens
Moscow Morphakidis-Phylaktos, Director of the Center for Byzantine, Modern Greek, and Cypriot Studies and professor at the University of Granada, was awarded an honorary doctorate by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. The ceremony took place on October 16, 2024, featuring speeches from university officials and a lecture by Morphakidis-Phylaktos on ‘Athens of Spanish-speaking Travelers in the 19th and Early 20th Centuries’. His contributions to Greek studies in Spain were highlighted throughout the event.
