An investigation by the Children and Young People’s Commissioner has been initiated regarding Police Scotland’s use of force against children, revealing that minors are twice as likely to be subjected to force compared to adults. The Commissioner, Nicola Killean, emphasized the need for humane treatment of children in conflict with the law.
