Signs of Decline in Sheep Pox Cases in Eastern Macedonia and Thrace
Christos Kellas, the Deputy Minister of Rural Development and Food, announced signs of decline in sheep pox cases during a visit to Alexandroupolis. He expressed hope for effective management of the disease through collaboration with veterinarians and livestock farmers. Kellas also discussed the significant compensation for affected farmers and the free reconstruction of herds through a European program. Measures announced earlier in November have been extended until November 22 for a reassessment of epidemiological data.
