Hamas Official Rules Out Hostage Exchange Without War Ceasefire

Khalil Al-Hayya, the interim head of Hamas in Gaza, stated that there will be no agreement with Israel for a hostage exchange with Palestinian prisoners unless the war in the Palestinian enclave ends. He criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for the lack of progress in negotiations and emphasized that Hamas will not return hostages without a ceasefire. Netanyahu, on the other hand, insists that the war can only conclude with the elimination of Hamas, while promising efforts to locate remaining hostages and offering a reward for their return.
