France Secures Local Production of Essential Pharmaceuticals with UPSA Agreement
The French government has signed an agreement with the pharmaceutical company UPSA to enhance local production of essential medications, including the production of two new drugs from a list provided by the Health Ministry. UPSA will continue producing paracetamol in response to a demand to prevent a controversy like the one surrounding Doliprane. This agreement also seeks to strengthen France’s pharmaceutical industry against potential relocations to the United States amid financial incentives from the U.S. government.
