Israeli airstrikes targeting pro-Iranian groups in Palmyra, central Syria, have resulted in at least 71 fatalities, according to a non-governmental organization. The strikes included a meeting of Iranian-aligned commanders with members from the Iraqi al-Nujaba movement and Hezbollah. 45 Syrians, primarily from pro-Iranian factions, and 26 foreigners, including Iraqis, were among those killed. This marks the deadliest assault on pro-Iranian organizations since the onset of the Syrian civil war in 2011.
