On the Feast of the Entrance of the Holy Virgin, residents of Chania honored their patroness with a solemn ceremony. A large crowd gathered at the Holy Metropolitan Church for worship, followed by a procession of the sacred icon through the streets. Local political and military officials, along with citizens, participated in the festivities, which culminated in wreath-laying at the city’s Heroes’ Monument. Evening celebrations included a musical event in honor of the Armed Forces.
