A 39-year-old woman was severely injured in a hit-and-run incident in Ammoudia, Serres, after a road accident involving her vehicle and a van driven by a 43-year-old man. The man, who reportedly was driving without necessary documentation, attempted to flee the scene and ran over the woman. She was taken to the General Hospital of Serres for surgery. Authorities later arrested the van driver on charges of serious bodily harm and confiscated the vehicle.
