Brandenburg’s Kenya Coalition Collapses Amid Hospital Reform Conflict
The Brandenburg state government has dissolved following a conflict over a hospital reform. Prime Minister Dietmar Woidke of the SPD dismissed Green Health Minister Ursula Nonnemacher, leading to the collapse of the coalition. Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck criticized Woidke’s actions as ‘unfathomable’. Nonnemacher’s dismissal came just before a key voting session, with her party stating that the political climate had reached a ‘low point’. The SPD, CDU, and Greens coalition has been functioning in a caretaker role while seeking new government coalitions.
