NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte to Visit Turkey for Key Discussions

Mark Rutte, the NATO Secretary General, is scheduled to visit Turkey to meet with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, and Defense Minister Yaşar Güler. Discussions are expected to focus on Turkish concerns regarding Kurdish groups supported by the US, the potential mediation role of Turkey in the Ukraine-Russia war, and bilateral issues with changes expected in transatlantic relations under the upcoming Biden administration. Rutte will also meet defense industry representatives and visit the Turkish Aerospace Industry, recently targeted by a terrorist attack.
