French customs officials made a significant drug seizure on the A7 highway, apprehending nearly one ton of ecstasy worth between €15 to €20 million. The operation took place near Reventin-Vaugris, about 50 kilometers south of Lyon, where customs intercepted a van carrying 963 kg of the substance, equivalent to approximately 2 million doses. The driver, identified as Spanish, has been transferred to the Paris prosecutor’s office for further action. This seizure alone nearly doubles the total ecstasy confiscated by French customs this year.
