The family of Savvas and Nitsa Mendekidis has launched an initiative to support children leaving the orphanage by covering their rent for a year, providing necessary household items, and offering monthly scholarships of €1,000 for those entering university. This donation was announced by the chairman of the orphanage, Konstantinos Theodorou, and family member Dimitris Mendekidis, highlighting the family’s gratitude towards the local community that supported them since they settled in Volos in 1971. Over the next five years, more than six children are expected to benefit from this generous program.
