Teenager Admits Role in Gangland Murder Weapon Recovery

Eighteen-year-old Jaures Kumbu has confessed to grabbing a submachine gun after a gangland shooting that killed Jason Hennessy Senior in a Dublin restaurant on Christmas Eve. Kumbu, who claimed he acted out of fear, was caught on CCTV footage after the gunman lost control of the weapon. The gun has never been recovered, and Kumbu faces sentencing at a later date. His defense argued that while illegal, his actions were motivated by panic in a dangerous situation. Kumbu has no prior convictions and expressed remorse in court, anticipating a prison term.
