Escalation of War in Northwestern Syria Displaces Nearly 50,000 People

The recent resurgence of conflict in northwestern Syria has forced nearly 50,000 individuals to flee their homes in just a few days, according to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). As of November 30, over 48,500 people have been displaced, a significant increase from the 14,000 reported on November 28. OCHA’s head, Tom Fletcher, expressed concern for the ‘tens of thousands’ of individuals seeking refuge.
