Thessaloniki’s Public Transport Enhances Services for Persons with Disabilities
The OASTH (Thessaloniki Urban Transport Organization) continues to provide support for persons with disabilities through various services, including free transportation with specially adapted vehicles and audio announcements at bus stops. Celebrating International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the organization emphasizes its commitment to accessibility, with plans to ensure all buses are fully equipped with ramps by January 1st. Additionally, an upgrade to a user-activated sound announcement system has been implemented at 35 central bus stops to assist visually impaired individuals.
