Economic Aid Requested for Rhodes Businesses Affected by Severe Weather

The Rhodes Chamber of Commerce has reached out to Greece’s National Economy and Development Ministers requesting urgent financial support for local businesses impacted by severe weather. They seek immediate financial assistance, exemptions from property tax for affected properties, and a suspension of tax, insurance, and loan obligations for at least 12 months. The proposal suggests that financing could come from this year’s collected Resilience Fund on the island, highlighting the pressing need for action to ensure the survival and recovery of these businesses.
