World Bank Announces Record $100 Billion Funding for Poorest Nations
The World Bank has announced that the International Development Association (IDA) will release a historic $100 billion to support the world’s poorest countries. This funding follows a successful resource mobilization process that raised $23.7 billion over the past year. The funds will be used to provide loans and grants to 78 countries in need, focusing on areas such as education, health, and climate change adaptation. Ajay Banga, President of the World Bank, emphasized the importance of this financial support for boosting economic development and reducing poverty.
