The municipality of Nea Propontida has reported that water samples from the communities of Krini and Petra earned have exceeded permissible arsenic limits, rendering the water unsafe for drinking. Residents have been advised to use the water only for hygiene purposes until further notice, and not for irrigating vegetables, following health department recommendations.
