A couple has been charged in France after allegedly kidnapping their premature newborn from a hospital in Seine-Saint-Denis. The 25-year-old father has been placed in provisional detention, facing charges including ‘kidnapping’ and ‘unlawful detention of a minor.’ The couple, who fled to the Netherlands after the abduction, was apprehended five days later with the baby found safe. The mother, previously charged but released under judicial supervision, had accompanied the father during the ordeal.
