Doctors Resign from Critical Care Unit at Heraklion University Hospital
A collective resignation has been submitted by the doctors of the Intensive Care Unit at Heraklion University Hospital in Greece. They expressed their dissatisfaction with the decision of the 7th Health Region Management to reallocate ICU doctors for staffing needs in a nearby hospital. The physicians argue this decision, made without their input, undermines their work and highlights staffing shortages they have faced, leading to unsafe working conditions. They declared that continuing under such circumstances is incompatible with their principles and dignity.
