The increase is attributed to the closure of some urgent care clinics, which has intensified pressure on emergency services. The AOK health insurance fund has called for fast-tracked reforms to improve emergency care and ensure better patient management. Additionally, although the workforce in emergency services has grown significantly, there is still a high demand for qualified professionals in this field.
