European Compensation Payments for Livestock Affected by Diseases in Greece

The Greek Ministry of Agricultural Development and Food has continued payments of compensation for sheep and goats that were culled due to outbreaks of disease, in accordance with European Regulation 687/2020. As of December 9, a total of €7.6 million has been disbursed to regional accounts for distribution to eligible farmers. This follows an initial payment of €5.7 million on December 3, summing to over €13.3 million in total compensation to date.
