Former BBC Journalist Duncan Bartlett Sentenced to Eight Years for Child Sexual Abuse

Duncan Bartlett, a former BBC journalist, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for multiple child sexual abuse offenses. The Metropolitan Police discovered nearly 6,000 indecent images after seizing electronic devices from Bartlett, who pleaded guilty to 35 offenses. Evidence emerged of him making payments to arrangements for live-streamed abuse of children. Although Bartlett worked at SOAS university as a researcher on China-related projects, his employer was unaware of his criminal activities until the media revealed the case.
