Greece Allocates 7.6 Million Euros for Livestock Compensation Amid Outbreaks
The Greek Ministry of Rural Development and Food has disbursed 7.6 million euros to reimburse farmers for livestock lost due to outbreaks of pestilence and pox, in accordance with European Regulation 687/2020. This follows an initial payment of 5.7 million euros credited on December 3 for compensations and regional expenses. To date, over 13.3 million euros have been allocated to support farmers affected by these animal diseases.
