In 2023, Greek households and municipalities in areas with renewable energy sources will receive a total of €35 million, primarily from wind farms, according to the Hellenic Scientific Wind Energy Association (ELETANE). Of this amount, €14.2 million will reduce electricity bills for consumers, and €21.2 million will support local municipalities. The distribution of funds is based on a recent decision by the Ministry of Environment and Energy, highlighting the financial benefits for various communities benefiting from renewable energy projects.
