Hagia Sophia’s dome will undergo restoration starting March or April 2024, focusing on disassembling its external covering due to structural issues. The project aims to repair damage caused over time and will include a temporary roof to protect workers from adverse weather. The Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism oversees the initiative.
