A humpback whale has set a record with its migration from the Pacific coast of Colombia to Zanzibar, covering at least 13,000 km. Scientists believe this remarkable journey may be influenced by climate change impacting food availability or potentially seeking new breeding grounds. Experts highlight that the migration could reflect significant global environmental changes. Ekaterina Kalashnikova from the Tanzania Cetaceans Program noted the journey is likely the longest recorded for this species.
