Greece Launches Renewable Energy Subsidy Program for Households
The Greek government has announced a new subsidy program aimed at promoting the installation of solar water heaters and heat pumps as part of the Recovery and Resilience Fund. With a budget of €223.2 million, the initiative seeks to improve energy efficiency, increase renewable energy usage, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Households, particularly vulnerable ones, will receive subsidies of up to 60% for eligible installations. The program prioritizes regions with high levels of air pollution, focusing on improving living conditions for families in need.
