Dundalk Grammar School to Introduce Gaelic Football for Senior Students

Dundalk Grammar School in County Louth will introduce Gaelic football for senior cycle students starting in 2025, following student protests and a successful campaign for inclusion of the sport. Both boys and girls will participate, with a friendly match scheduled for this academic year and the school team entering the Lennon Cup next year. The decision comes after productive discussions between students, school staff, and the Board of Governors, and with gratitude expressed to supportive individuals, including Ruairí Ó Murchú TD and others.
