UK Parliament Assembles Committee for Assisted Dying Bill Review
Labour MP Kim Leadbeater has appointed a committee of 14 MPs to scrutinize the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill, which seeks to allow certain individuals in England and Wales to choose assisted dying. The committee includes supporters and opponents of the legislation, as well as two government ministers. It will conduct detailed line-by-line reviews and hold public hearings starting in January, aiming to finalize amendments before a scheduled debate in the House of Commons on April 25.
