Police Crackdown on Organized Crime Networks in Greece
Targeted police operations were conducted in Athens and Thessaloniki as part of efforts to dismantle organized crime groups from Turkey. Following an extensive investigation, six searches led to the arrest of eight Turkish nationals for firearm and drug offenses. A significant amount of weapons and illegal substances was seized, including 50 functional handguns and 1.7 kilograms of cannabis. Additional checks in Attica resulted in the detention of 27 foreign nationals. The arrested individuals will face legal proceedings.
