Ioannina Municipality Approves €600,000 Proposal for Revamping Agios Nikolaos Market
The municipal committee of Ioannina has approved a proposal worth €600,000 aimed at upgrading the Agios Nikolaos municipal market. This funding, sourced from discounts related to the Open Trading Center project, will be used to revitalize an abandoned space. According to Deputy Mayor of Planning Thomas Giotitsa, the goal is to make the market functional again by hosting periodic exhibitions of local products and cultural events, thereby enhancing the commercial and cultural life of the city’s historical center.
