Greek Parliament Begins Debate on 2025 State Budget
The Greek Parliament has commenced a five-day discussion on the state budget for the fiscal year 2025, led by the positions of the parliament’s nine party groups. Prime Minister Kyriacos Mitsotakis, opposition leader Nikos Androulakis, and other party leaders are set to speak on December 15. The budget has been approved by the relevant committee, with the New Democracy party voting in favor while other parties, including SYRIZA-PS and KKE, voted against. A vote of confidence is expected to follow the discussion’s completion.
