The Municipality of Volos has presented a master plan for water management, involving projects worth €120 million, aimed at addressing both water supply and irrigation until 2060. Mayor Achilleas Beos indicated that the plan has been submitted to the Prime Minister and local officials for funding consideration. Experts warn of a projected water deficit of 8.5 million cubic meters by 2060 without these projects, while the current deficit stands at 1.5 million cubic meters. The plan categorizes proposed projects as short-term, medium-term, and long-term.
