The Citizens’ Initiative Against the Hotelization of Historical Monuments in Chania has expressed strong opposition to the recent decision by the Technical University of Crete to extend the lease of monuments in Kastelli Hill to a company planning to convert them into a hotel. The initiative argues that this decision disregards the local community and calls for a collaborative dialogue to find respectful uses for the monuments.
