Consumer Prices in Ireland Rise by 1% Year-over-Year in November 2023

New data from the Central Statistics Office reveals that consumer prices in Ireland increased by 1% year-over-year in November 2023, up from 0.7% in October. Key price increases were noted in Restaurants & Hotels (3.8%) and Alcoholic Beverages & Tobacco (3.5%). However, Clothing & Footwear saw a significant decrease of 7.5%. Month-over-month, prices fell by 0.5% with notable declines in Recreation & Culture. The report also highlighted specific price changes for common goods, including a rise in butter and cheese prices, while some bread products saw minor price reductions.
