The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, condemned a direct attack on an IAEA vehicle in Ukraine. The vehicle was struck by a drone while transporting personnel at the Zaporizhia nuclear power station. Grossi emphasized the clear intent to harm and intimidate the agency, which has faced increased danger as Russia ramps up bombing of Ukrainian energy infrastructure. The IAEA Council convened to address the security risks posed by such attacks on nuclear facilities amid ongoing conflict.
